Apple 'iOS 6'

By Lu Yawen

News of the recent announcement of Apple's iOS 6 system promises to improve your Apple experience with the company's debut of a mapping app, new and improved Siri, integrated Facebook and many other functions. There even is a new feature for users in China!

The upgrade's main feature would have to be Apple's new mapping app as it bids goodbye to Google. It will offer turn-by-turn navigation (much like an actual GPS device) by visual and spoken instruction and real-time traffic updates. The app will also give a Flyover view of cities, similar to Google Earth.

Moving along, the voice assistant Siri is now brough to the iPad 2 and after a bumpy debut, it now programmed to understand more languages and a wider range of in-built phrases it can understand. Social networking is also made simpler with most apps (Camera, Maps, Safari, Game Center, Contacts, Calender) are directly linked to Facebook.

With the iOS 6, the phone also has new calling features; Reply, Remind and Do Not Disturb. The Reply and Remind modes make it easier to decide what you want to do with an incoming phone call and Do Not Disturb mode makes sures you get uninterrupted sleep while filtering important calls and emails.
