WORD! What Celebrities told HipTv

DJINEE

DJINEE

"We think to change the country we need to get into politics. You don’t have to. From where you are, you can change the country. In fact, I think it’s a waste of time to think you need four years to change the country. You don’t need four years. What is hard? Put water, put light, put road. It’s common sense, it’s easy but we just lie to ourselves that you need four years. They are wasting their time up there; you don’t need four years. What is hard in making the refineries work when we have reserves and money? It is not hard but they won’t just do it because some people are gaining from the refineries not working. Some people are gaining from the power supply that we don’t have. For everything that goes wrong in this country, someone is benefiting. And that is where the problem is".

FEMI KUTI

T.W.O

"… Who am I sitting on the wall? He says “don’t I have to take a political stand”. I said I’ve already taken a political stand. Now somebody that comes from my background… If I am seen supporting any political candidate and I’m not one hundred per cent sure that government is not corrupt, that government is for the people, doing the things for the people. How could I jeopardize my heritage, what my father stood for, what my grandmother stood for, supporting such a candidate that even if the person was doing right, he could change tomorrow. I don’t want to be seen as saying; this person I put my support did one or two things wrong. Now I think it is still very important for me to take that back-sit and watch so I can always criticize. So if we have a good president one day; we have to look at it from this point of view; it is our right to have electricity."

MODE 9

MODE 9

"If you spend your time making enemies, let me just tell you one life secret; You spend your time making enemies and hating people, planning evil for people, you’ve wasted half of your resources you were gonna use to move forward. You’re gonna stay here, trying to push somebody down. To push somebody down, you’d have to remain down. But if you just let things go, you will go up. But be careful who you drag up with you because if you drag the wrong people up, they’re gonna draw you down again. So it’s better to do what Eminem did; go up, then you reach down to pull your people up. But if you are trying to get everybody to go up together, they are gonna weigh you down. So make sure you are up and then, like what Eminem did and 50cent came up then pulled his G-Unit brothers up. ".
