What else could be added to a car perfect like theBugatti Veyron Grand Sport than a little bit of hand painted custom finish? It doesn’t need any performance upgrades, that’s quite clear, but a few paint splashes here and there won’t hurt. Especially when they’re being applied by the French artist Bernar Venet.
Even though the fellow’s French, he resides in New York and was recently commissioned to put design a truly unique and exclusive artwork for a Veyron which will be unveiled at this week’s Art Basel Miami Beach. He has interestingly chosen to paint a plethora of mathematical and scientific formulas which Bugatti engineers have had to use in order to create a supercar which is 250 mph+ fast.
He has superbly applied the formulas all across the front fascia and the flanks, over a rusted metallic finish which really makes the Veyron a special car.
The interior of the car carries the theme on, upon the dashboard panels and leather trim, which have also been garnished with similar writings boasting the same rusted look. The door panels, though, have been nicely trimmed with bright orange schemes and formulas.
Performance wise, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Venet boasts the famous 8.0-liter W16 engine which delivers a massive 1,001 HP (746 kW) ensuring a top speed of 252 mph (405 km/h). With the roof off, the car’s top speed is limited to 224 mph (360 km/h), while with the cloth roof risen, the car only reaches 81 mph (130 km/h).
