Evoking one of the most renowned legends of today, of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Roger Dubuis’ Excalibur Table Ronde will reportedly be a limited series of 88 watches, due to be unveiled sometime during 2013.
The wonderful timepieces feature 12 knights, with their swords, crafted from gold and working as the hour markers, placed around a superbly enamelled dial. Although this is not the actual image of the Winchester Round Table, which dates back to 1552, having been manufactured to impress the visiting Emperor Charles V, the design still mimics it quite elegantly.
In technological terms, the specialists behind the famous brand Richard Dubuis haven’t yet disclosed much, but a few details – the case measures 45 mm in diameter, is manufactured from rose gold and houses an automatic mechanical RD822 movement
