The special 90-minute episode ofOprah’s Next Chapter will air at 9pm (ET) in the US on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, on Discovery Channel in the UK (2am GMT), Discovery Channel and TLC in Norway, Denmark and Sweden, as well as on Discovery Channel across Latin America.
From January 18 and on the weekend, the special will roll-out to other international markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific on Discovery, Channel, TLC, DMAX, Real Time and Home & Health.
In his first ‘no-holds-barred’ interview, Armstrong will address the alleged doping scandal, cheating accusations and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his cycling career.
Filmed at his home in Austin, Texas, the interview with Winfrey will be the seven-time Tour de France winner’s first and only interview after he was stripped of his titles and dropped from millions of dollars in endorsement deals, including Nike, AB InBev and Trek, towards the end of last year.
Off the back of the scandal, Armstrong resigned as chairman of his Livestrong foundation in late 2012
